"Finally, my brothers, rejoice in The Lord! It is no trouble for me to write the same things to you again, and it is a safeguard for you," (Philippians 3:1, NIV).
In this verse we see that Paul is not only telling the Philippians something, but re-telling. Paul has already written about these things before, and now he wants to tell them again. Paul isn't reprimanding the Philippians because "It is no trouble" to tell them these things again.
Paul just wants to make sure that the Philippians, as well as other Christians know what is being said. We as Christians in today's world need to follow this example when it comes to knowing and understanding the scriptures.
We need to read, and re-read, the scriptures. We should never feel like we know everything there is to know. We should continue to learn about God, His love, and His plan for our lives. The only way we can truly know God is to continuously read God's word, the Bible. For without God's word how can we know what He wants for us, and for our lives.
The lesson here is that you can never read the Bible too much. You should always continue reading, because you will always be able to learn something new. For God's wisdom, and knowledge, is unfathomable.
